Digital Outreach - Ashe County Little Theatre - Share production announcements on Facebook, Instagram and other online groups.  Engage with social media posts by liking, commenting, and responding to questions. Post about production in community forums, theatre related Facebook groups, etc. Use event specific hashtags to help spread the word about the production, encourage friends and followrs to attend the production. Assist with creating and scheduling social media posts (graphics, videos, captions).  

Time Committment:  About  1 hour per day for 12 weeks (flexible and remote)

Helpful Skills: Comfortable using social media platforms (Faebooks, Instagram, etc.); Friendly and professional online communication skills; interest in theatre and community events.

What You'll Gain:  Gain hands-on experience in digital marketing and social media engagement; help bring theatre production to a wider audience.

Set Construction Ashe County Little Theatre - Construct scenery using wood, hardware and other materials.  Assist with measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing scenic elements.  Prepare surfaces for painting.  Paint scenery using a variety of techniques.  Safely use tools, ladders and shop equipment.  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.  Follow directions and safety policies and procedures.  

Time Committment:  Scheduled Saturday set builds 10 to 12 weeks prior to the production; approximately 3 - 4 hours in length.

Helpful Skills:  Interest in hands-on creative and technical work; ability to follow directions and work as a team; willingness to learn basic carpentry and scenic painting techniqus, attention to detail and commitment to safety; ability to lift moderate weight and stand for extended periods (with accommodations) as needed.

What You'll Gain:  Carpentry basics (measuring, framing, cutting, assembling); safe use of tools (power tools, ladders, hardware); painting techniques and scenic finishes; problem-solving under deadlines, working in a team-oriented environment.

Photograher for Ashe County Little Theatre Productions. Take photos during rehearsals (rehearsal shots, candid moments, select staged images).  Photograph cast and crew headshots.  Capture behind-the-scenes moments that highlight the collaborative spirit of the theatre before and during the production, take photos for volunteer recognition and shout-outs on Facebook.  Share edited photos with the theatre in a timely manner for marketing, archival and promotional use.  

Helpful skills:  An eye for storytelling and candid moments; respectful of rehearsals, performances, and performer focus; comfortable working in low-light and fast moving environments; ability to work collaboratively with board members, marketing volunteers and lead production team.

What You'll Gain:  Build a professional photography portfolio, we will always give you credit; if a student:  gain resume-building experience and a reference from a respected non-profit; contribute your creative talents to a purpose-driven organization amd community.

The Front of House Greeter is the welcoming face of the theatre.  Greeters create a warm, organized, and inclusive first impression for patrons by offering assistance, answering questions, handing out programs and will call tickets, all while helping audiences feel comfortable and excited about their experience.  https://www.ashecountylittletheatre.org/shows-events

We need four greeters for each production:  June 25-27 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Perks:  Bring a friend to work as a greeter and enjoy seeing the show for free when seating is available.

Needs:  Two persons needed for 3 hours.  May be required to set up and clean up.

June 28.  12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.  Arrive at 12:30 pm and serve patrons prior to show start and during intermission.
