
Set Construction Ashe County Little Theatre - Construct scenery using wood, hardware and other materials. Assist with measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing scenic elements. Prepare surfaces for painting. Paint scenery using a variety of techniques. Safely use tools, ladders and shop equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow directions and safety policies and procedures.
Time Committment: Scheduled Saturday set builds 10 to 12 weeks prior to the production; approximately 3 - 4 hours in length.
Helpful Skills: Interest in hands-on creative and technical work; ability to follow directions and work as a team; willingness to learn basic carpentry and scenic painting techniqus, attention to detail and commitment to safety; ability to lift moderate weight and stand for extended periods (with accommodations) as needed.
